This hotel in Córdoba is close to all the city’s major attractions. Here you can stay in beautiful surroundings and enjoy 360-degree views of Córdoba from a fantastic rooftop terrace.
In the heart of Córdoba’s cultural, historic center, the H10 Palacio Colomera Córdoba hotel is located in the central plaza, Plaza de las Tendillas. The chalk-white, four-story palace, flanked by towers, attracts attention with its beautiful architecture. The plaza is surrounded by several other palaces that bear witness to Córdoba’s history as a wealthy city.
The square and nearby pedestrian streets are alive with sidewalk cafés and restaurants, as well as several small fine shops. And you’re close to Córdoba’s great cultural experiences.
The palace dates back to 1928 and in 2016 the hotel chain bought Casa Colomera, the former home of the Count of the same name. Today, it houses a 4-star state-of-the-art, fully renovated boutique hotel.

Curved Andalusian archways, colored tiles and glass and iron landings blend with modern design. H10 Palacio Colomera Córdoba beautifully combines the stately elements of the palace with Scandinavian design, where everything is new and carefully selected.
You are welcomed at the door by a concierge who shows you to the reception, which is located in the corner of the hotel. There is a sense of calm and I immediately felt like I was entering a luxury oasis where the focus was immediately on making sure I had a good stay.
The rooms
The H10 Palacio Colomera has 102 rooms, including double and twin rooms with courtyard or square views, suites and duplexes. Some rooms have a terrace.
I stayed in a double room with a courtyard view on the 3rd floor. Often rooms with a courtyard view are very dark. Mine was not. There was plenty of light and I didn’t feel trapped in a backyard.
The decor is straight out of a Nordic interior design magazine. A trend that is gaining momentum in Spanish hotels. Spacious with light walls, desk and bedside table in warm wood and fabrics in cream and earth tones. And there’s subtle photo art on the walls.
Sleeping well is a must and I slept great in the king size bed with a good, thick mattress and several pillows to choose from. The lighting is cozy, like something out of a Scandinavian designer home. There are also reading lights by the bed and armchair.
Not all designer and boutique hotels think about being functional. The H10 Palacio Colomera has done just that. There’s a spacious wardrobe with plenty of hangers and plenty of storage space in the bathroom.
The rooms have a 49″ Smart TV, free water on arrival, Nespresso machine with free daily capsule refills, minibar, safe, free WiFi and USB socket. There are also organic bathrobes and slippers, free toiletries and (a good) hairdryer in the bathroom.
How is breakfast?
Breakfast is served in the restaurant, Las Meninas, which is bright, spacious and features art on the walls by Spanish artist Gabriel Martín Roig.
There is a breakfast buffet with everything you could want from freshly baked local bread, pastries, ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, several kinds of eggs, yogurt and cereals as well as fresh fruit, juice and the local breakfast favorite, pan con tomate.
I prefer fruit, eggs, juice and coffee for breakfast, which is what I had at H10 Palacio Colomera. Everything was tasty and the buffet was inviting.
Bar and lovely rooftop terrace with views
The highlight of the H10 Palacio Colomera is the rooftop terrace. Here you can enjoy the sunset over Plaza de la Tendrilla and the rooftops of downtown Córdoba.
The rooftop terrace has comfortable furniture and 360-degree views that are truly beautiful. The bar, 1928, serves a selection of signature drinks, cocktails and freshly squeezed juices. I had a Hugo with St. Germain, lemon juice and cava and it was good. The bar also offers a selection of snacks and tapas.
The ground floor bar overlooks Plaza de las Tendillas and has a terrace on the square. Here you can enjoy coffee, drinks, snacks and tapas.
Pool and cozy lounge
The hotel has a lovely lounge area where you can sit in soft fabric or leather armchairs and chat or relax with a book. The lounge area is located slightly away from the reception. So even if people walk through the corridor to the rooms, which are at the end of the lounge, it’s quiet.
Adjacent to the lounge is a patio with a pool and sun loungers.
What are the hotel’s environmental certifications?
Consideration for the environment. The H10 hotel chain has its own Stay Gren program, of which Palacio Colomera is naturally a part. The program continuously focuses on reducing food waste, CO2 emissions and training staff in local cultural history and engagement, among other things.
At H10 in Córdoba they have organic towels made from recycled materials (which are nice, soft and absorbent), a focus on saving energy in rooms when they are empty and efficient use of water and energy. Non-toxic products are used in the bathrooms and non-toxic cleaning products are used. Read more about Stay Green.
